We are seeking a skilled Manual Grinder to join our team in Basildon The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual grinding machines to produce precision-engineered components to high tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:-
Operate manual surface, cylindrical, or centerless grinding machines.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precision.

Set up and adjust grinding machines for optimal performance.

Maintain equipment and ensure a safe working environment.

Work with various materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys.

Ensure quality control checks are completed and documented.

Previous experience as a Manual Grinder in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Proficiency in using measuring instruments.

Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, and toolroom grinding.

Knowledge of different grinding wheels and materials.
-
Engineering qualifications or apprenticeship background (preferred).
