PRINT OPERATOR

ROLE DETAILS

  • Collect and process work sent down from the repro/print department.
  • Ensure that the work is sized correctly, and the appropriate correction curve is applied, QC to job requirements.
  • Maintain and process work according to the production schedule.
  • Notify the supervisor/manager when a major issue is encountered.
  • Problem solve minor issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department;
  • Operating Print Machines / Guillotines and Folders
  • Maintain the machinery to manufacturers recommendations.
  • Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy
  • Select the correct media profile then rip the job to be printed (training will be given if needed).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes.
  • Experience with Muller / Heidelberg
  • Operational experience with print.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious.
  • Flexible and effective team member.
