You will produce detailed drawings required for the correct manufacturing of the bespoke items.
As the Designer you will be required to liaise with manufactures, customers, architects, designers, M&E companies as well as all others within the company to provide an effective design and technical service.
Duties:
• Brief the Salesmen/project leader to create CAD drawings.
• Produce scaled plans, sections, elevations, schematics, and detail drawings from external and internal sources.
• Produce 2D design plans from rough working drawings, with minimum input from others.
• Create project files including relevant information for the team.
• Scanning and copying drawings for distribution to designers, clients, and contractors.
• To notify and discuss with the relevant team individual errors, discrepancies in information and drawings during the process of production of quotations.
• Occasional site visits to take site dimensions and gain experience.
• Knowledge of general architecture building layouts.
• Arrange design meetings, chasing suppliers, etc... You will learn:-
• To produce quotation in CCE bespoke estimating package incorporated within Sage 200 for fabrication, equipment, and associated site works.
• To liaise with clients, in-house staff, and external suppliers with regards to equipment and details for interfacing with quotations produced by CCE.
• To liaise with clients and in-house staff with regards to issuing of quotations.
• To follow up with clients regarding quotations establishing whether information correctly interpreted and that it has been received.
• Produce fabrication designs for factory to create bespoke manufactured items.
• Produce 3D visualisations.
