Our client designs, tests, supplies and commissions purpose-built specialised process and packaging equipment for range of industries, including Coatings, Adhesive, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics.Electrical Design EngineerThey are currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Design Draughtsperson to join their team in Essex and work with their team of Automation Technicians to produce electrical wiring diagrams for electrical control systems. They undertake panel building, wiring and PLC programming on site, so this offers the opportunity to work alongside departments focusing on pneumatics, handling, guard building, machining, machine assembly, commissioning and documentation.The Electrical Design Engineer will:

Assist with drawing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, working with the Automation Department to agree on methods of working and drawing standards.
Produce electrical drawings and panel Layouts, with supporting electrical documentation (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts etc.).
Ensure all electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the project lifecycle and shared with relevant departments.
Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project.

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified in Electrical Engineering (Degree, HNC/HND, Apprenticeship) with previous experience in a similar Design role, working on Electrical Engineering aspects of automated production machinery, special purpose machinery or other capital equipment.In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and/or Pro Panel 3D would be ideal, however experience in other design software tools, plus awareness of EPLAN or Pro Panel will also be considered.In addition, it would be desirable for you to hold an EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) qualification and previous experience of working in a project environment in cross-functional project teamsElectrical Design EngineerLaindon, Essex£40-45k DOE plus benefits (bonus, pension, paid overtime etc.)Key Skills: Design Engineer, Design Draughtsperson, Electrical Design, EPLAN, P8, Pro Panel, 3D, Automation, Capital Equipment, Special Purpose Machinery, Automated Production Machinery, Process Equipment, Packaging.PLEASE NOTE: Applicants for this role must be fully eligible to work in the UK without the need for employer sponsorship.
