Electrical Design Engineer/DraughtsmanLocation: Basildon, Essex

£40K-£50KMy Client is a leading provider and Experts in designing, testing, supplying, and commissioning machinery for processing and packaging within pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Following the influx of projects, they are looking to expand and need an Electrical Design Engineer/Draughtsman to come join their Automation Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain electrical wiring diagrams, panel layouts (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts, etc.).
  • Assist in transitioning electrical drawings from AutoCAD to EPLAN
  • Maintain and update electrical schematics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a database of preferred electrical components to standardize hardware across multiple projects.

Essential:

  • A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to work.
  • Willingness to collaborate across departments and engage with shop floor staff.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Extensive experience with EPLANP8 and Pro Panel 3D.
  • EPLAN Certified Engineer qualification (ECE)
  • Experience in designing electrical systems for automated production machinery or similar capital equipment.
  • Previous experience working in cross-functional project teams within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
