In this role, you'll play a vital part in the company's development, transitioning drawings from AutoCAD to EPLAN, whilst collaborating closely with the Automation Department.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

Assisting with the transition of drawing from AutoCAD to EPLAN, collaborating with the Automation Department to establish drawing standards and working methods
Generating electrical drawings and panel layouts, along with supporting electrical documentation such as Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, and Terminal Rail Layouts
Ensuring prompt updates of all electrical drawings throughout the project lifecycle and sharing with all relevant departments
Maintaining a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and ideally Pro Panel 3D is highly advantageous, however, we are open to other electrical CAD experience and will train on Eplan – packages might include AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical or SolidWorks
A formal Electrical Engineering Qualification – Apprenticeship/HNC/HND/Degree
A systematic approach to work with high attention to detail
The ability to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor
Experience in a project environment in cross-functional project teams would be beneficial.
