Position: Electrical Design Engineer
Salary: £40-50k

SQ Partners client are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to work alongside their Automation Technicians in producing electrical wiring diagrams and supporting electrical control systems design. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, helping to transition designs and processes into the EPLAN platform while ensuring high-quality standards.

Experience & Knowledge:

Essential:

In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D or AUTOCAD Electrical
Familiarity with automated production machinery or similar capital equipment.
Experience working in a project environment as part of cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the ongoing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, collaborating with the Automation Department to establish drawing methods and standards.
Generate electrical drawings, panel layouts, and supporting electrical documentation, including Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, and Terminal Rail Layouts.
Ensure all electrical drawings are promptly updated throughout the project lifecycle and shared with all relevant departments.
Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware across projects.
