Lead Electronic Design Engineer

Basildon

Paying up to 65p/h (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

  • Development of hardware solutions to include the design of in-house PCBs
  • Supporting Systems Engineers develop requirements and architecture
  • Supporting the integration of hardware, firmware and software
  • Supporting qualification activities
  • Supporting trials proving activities
  • Fully documenting and recording your work products; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports
  • Working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers to resolve technical issues

Experience required:

  • Minimum of a BTEC, HND or Apprenticeship in an Electronics based Engineering course
  • Knowledge of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools
  • Practical experience in Hardware, Firmware & Software Integration of Microprocessor Based designs
  • Integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies,single board computers, RF interfaces)
  • Practical experience of debugging, testing and verifying new designs
  • A methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process
  • DFx knowledge specifically Design for EMC
  • Ability to schedule work and manage time in keeping with project timescales and budgets
