Our client is one of the UK’s largest independent engineering and services businesses. Looking for a Chargehand Linesperson which is a field based role. The main purpose of this role is to lead and working as part of a team you will be directly involved in a diversity of challenging overhead line projects constructing and replacing out-dated networks. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- A key part of an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required.
- To construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
- Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of our client and its customers.
- To partake in the risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your supervisor.
- To work safely at all times and in line with company and statutory safety requirements.
- Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
- To highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.Â
- Acquire, maintain and develop your own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.
- Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
- Adhere to AIMED and TLC values.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience as a linesperson.
- People with experience working on Dead Networks and Live LV Working
- People with IPAF accreditation – Training can be given
- Full driving Licence
- NRSWA Operative
- Authorisation tickets i.e UK Power Network, Western Power Distribution (WPD) etc.
