Based in Laindon, Essex, in a purpose-built design, engineering and headquarters building with 70 employees at this site. Most of our business is the supply of filling and packaging lines for aerosols, mainly for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

We are looking to appoint a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director to work at our headquarters in Laindon, Essex. This role directly reports to the MD.

Please note this role is strictly On-Site. No remote working is permitted

Personal Attributes

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised with excellent time management and multitasking skills. You will have a proven track record in providing PA support, and be confident in your ability to show initiative in handling a fast-paced and demanding workload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels.

The role requires a high level of discretion and trustworthiness as well as adaptability and a willingness to embrace and lead change. A keen attention to detail is vital, ensuring accuracy in document preparation and scheduling tasks.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Significant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office with good touch-typing speed
  • Relevant training or qualifications

Typical Duties

  • Using Teams telephone system
  • Administrative support and calendar management
  • Meeting coordination and scheduling, including preparing agendas and minutes
  • Typing correspondence and documents
  • Booking, planning and coordinating UK and overseas travel
  • Handling the M.D.’s expense submissions.
  • Planning and organising corporate events, meetings, and conferences
  • Office administration
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may arise
