TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school based in Basildon, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This vibrant school has a strong commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a driven and passionate Behaviour Mentor on a long-term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful applicant will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping to promote positive behaviour and emotional development. The Senior Leadership Team is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative environment for the Behaviour Mentor from day one.
The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:
• Experience working with children in an educational setting (previous experience in behaviour support is desirable)
• A passion for working with children and helping them overcome behavioural barriers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, patient, and understanding approach
• Experience with de-escalation strategies and promoting positive behaviour
