Our client is a renowned flooring company in the industry, specialising in industrial and commercial finishes. They offer a wide range of related services and have established themselves as one of the leaders in the field.
Due to an ever-increasing workload, they're looking to add an Estimator to their team. As an Estimator for our client, you will be responsible for efficiently quoting projects to win further work and contribute to their growth ambitions.
The successful candidate would have at least 1 year experience in an estimating position, have some knowledge of general flooring (hard or soft) and uphold a strong client facing attitude.

Position Overview
Estimator
- Visit project sites to evaluate flooring requirements, measure spaces, and assess any special considerations or challenges.
- Calculate project costs, including materials, labour, and any additional expenses, while considering factors such as project scope, design specifications, and local regulations.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive proposals and quotations for clients, ensuring accuracy and competitive pricing.
- Maintain organised records of project details, estimates, and communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Communicate with clients to address inquiries, provide clarification on estimates, and negotiate terms as necessary.
- Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, products, and installation methods to provide informed recommendations to clients and colleagues.
Position Requirements
Estimator
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the flooring or construction industry
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and own vehicle.
