Ocean Freight Account Manager Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Account Manager within the freight forwarding industry based in Basildon, Essex. To join their team who are an employee-owned UK-based business.
Act as an extension of the clients' business by providing a single point of contact from the initial enquiry through to quotations, bookings, delivery and aftercare. Work closely with the Business Development Team to ensure clients are won and retained with the primary objective of delivering year on year growth.
Ocean Freight Account Manager Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers.
- Provide rates and quotes for FCL & LCL imports and exports
- Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing accounts.
- Maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts by proactively pursuing underdeveloped areas.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely fashion.
- Both provide and record timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new services.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the company.
