SMT EngineerSMT Engineer - Job Role:As an SMT Engineer, you will support the SMT department with all technical aspects of the SMT process. You will be based lineside and provide daily technical support for the team. Trainees are welcome to apply, with starting salaries at the lower end of the pay scale.SMT Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Creation of Surface mount programs for Mycronic SMT machines.
  • Creation of SMT Packages component packages.
  • Continuously improving efficiency and accuracy of Mycronic pick and place machines.  
  • Troubleshooting printing and placement errors.
  • Line-side process support for paste machines, reflow ovens, AOI and associated machinery.
  • Creation of custom reflow profiles using data collection mole/software.
  • Assist with the repair of breakdowns (with the assistance 3rd party support providers)
  • Attend new product introduction meetings and assist Production Engineering/Quality.
  • Ensure that new products are running efficiently and accurately.
