SMT Engineer, Essex

Our Client is looking for a SMT Engineer (Surface Mount Engineer). As a SMT Engineer (Surface Mount Engineer) you will be supporting the SMT department with all technical aspects of SMT process. You will be based lineside and provide daily technical support for the team. Maintain high housekeeping standards

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of Surface mount programs for SMT machines.

• Creation of SMT Packages component packages.

• Continuously improving efficiency and accuracy of pick and place machines.

• Troubleshooting printing and placement errors.

• Line side process support for paste machines, reflow ovens, AOI and associated machinery.

• Creation of custom reflow profiles using data collection mole/software.

• Assist with repair of breakdowns (with assistance 3rd party support providers)

• Attend new product introduction meetings and assist Production Engineering/Quality.

• Ensure that new products are running efficiency and accurately.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements

Essential

Previous experience with manufacturing machinery in an engineering support role.

Desirable

• Previous electronics manufacturing industry experience

• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Remuneration: up to £30,000 to £36,000 per annum depending on experience working
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 am-16:00 pm, Friday: 07:30 am-13:30 pm
