- Salary: £23,000 to £30,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking a dedicated Multi-Skills Tutor to join our client's team. This role involves developing best practices in learning, teaching, and assessment within the construction and vocational training sector. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, have a strong commitment to safety, and possess a passion for education and skill development.
Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and implement best practices in learning, teaching, and assessment, ensuring standardisation and continuity.
- Assess learners for progress and achievement.
- Manage materials and tools for the programmes, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain the construction programme environment, ensuring it is always fit for learning.
- Engage with local companies and organisations to enhance the construction experience of learners.
- Design, develop, and monitor resources for learner use.
- Act as a personal tutor to groups of learners, coordinating tutorial support and setting targets.
- Provide accurate feedback on progress and outcomes to both managers and students.
- Monitor learner attendance and maintain appropriate standards of behaviour.
- Stay updated with curriculum initiatives and professional developments relevant to the sector.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain records of learner performance.
- Participate in continuous professional development as directed.
- AET/Cert Ed/ PGCE/PTTLS or a relevant training or teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Minimum of level two qualification in a relevant vocational sector or significant occupational experience.
- English and Maths at least to level 2.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in construction multi-skills standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in IT, including Excel.
- Flexible and professional approach, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
