A well respected SEMH School in the Southend-on-sea area are actively seeking a Maths Instructor/unqualified teacher to join their team as soon as possible, on a long-term role. There is the opportunity for this role to become permanent!

This school caters for Primary & Secondary students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. They suffer with social, emotional and mental health issues. Many of these students suffer from truma and low self-esteem.

Strong behaviour management, resilience and patience are essential qualities in this role.

Must have:

  • First class degree (2:1 or above) with honours.
  • Maths related degree
  • Strong A levels and GCSE results.
  • A true desire and passion for teaching.
  • Commitment to academic requirements as a trainee teacher.
  • It is essential that you have the confidence to support pupils with mixed abilities and challenging behaviour.

All teachers will work in a supportive and helpful environment where there is a strong sense of community and inclusion.

Experience:

  • In planning, delivering, monitoring and evaluating lessons Maths.
  • Experience in working with pupils who have SEMH is desirable.

You will need to be committed to safeguarding children, be passionate about teaching and providing the best possible opportunities for all pupils. It is also important to be resilient, positive and career orientated.
