Premier Work Support's client is looking for a Test Technician for their Basildon office on a full-time (8am-5pm) basis. This role is Monday to Friday and requires someone with a formal engineering qualification.

All panel building, wiring, and PLC programming is done on-site, with various other departments specialising in pneumatics, can handling, guard building, machining, machine assembly, commissioning, and documentation.

The role will initially focus on performing tests on machines within our factory using pre-prepared test protocols to support the verification process of the machines. This is intended to provide consistency in the testing approach from one to the next, whilst also learning how each machine operates.

The role will include:

  • Executing DH-generated test protocols
  • Completing all relevant test documentation
  • Reporting incidents, deviations, or failures identified during test execution
  • Reporting on executed tests and outcomes
  • Providing feedback and identifying improvements to the test processes to improve efficiency
  • Liaising with customers' validation teams during Factory Acceptance and on-site testing
  • Responsible for maintenance and calibration of DH test equipment

Critical Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualification
  • MS Office, including MS Word/Excel
  • A good understanding of automated equipment and machinery
  • Previous experience in formal testing

Desirable:

  • Understanding of production lines
  • Commissioning of machinery
  • Previous experience performing equipment testing on automated equipment and machinery
