The company:
Based in South Essex, you will be joining a purpose-built design and engineering premises for chemical manufacturing feeding into a wide range of industries. Due to continuous growth and expansion of the premises as well as a strong line of upcoming projects, the company is now seeking an experienced Engineering Production Coordinator to support the engineering team based in Basildon.
The role of the Engineering Production Coordinator will be a varied role, working alongside different areas of the company to monitor and manage the order processes, material controls and more.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure parts and necessary documentation are available for the technicians to complete manufacturing tasks.
- Work alongside the projects team, manufacturing team and more to monitor the progress of set projects.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers
- Review production orders to set start and target completion dates
- Review production orders due to starting assembly, identify outstanding materials and expedite shortages with the purchasing team
- Work with the drawing office and electrical design department to ensure drawings & documentation are available for all production orders before the build
This is just a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and tasks will be required.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in a similar role within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
- Experience dealing with production timelines and deadlines.
- Familiarity working with in-house systems such as ERP/ MSP systems.
- Highly organised, with excellent communication skills, being able to work in multiple areas of the business.
