Trading UnderwriterLocation: Basildon (hybrid working available)Salary: NegotiableWe're strengthening our team at Plum Underwriting and looking for a Trading Underwriter to join the team as we continue to grow.You'll be looking after a mixed panel of brokers and be actively engaged on new business as well as renewals on a day-to-day basis.The day to day:

• Underwriting risks in accordance with personal authority and within Plum's criteria
• Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally
• Ensuring all documentations and systems are kept up to date and provided to supporting brokers in a timely manner
• Assisting senior management with MI including retention rates and ratings input
• Actively engaging with panel brokers to ensure Plum are their first port of call on new business enquiries
• Ensuring SLA's are met and timely issuance of documentation to brokers.

Your experience:

• Ideally, you'll have 4-5 years successfully underwriting a mixed household portfolio
• A varied skill set that includes strong Communication (both written and verbal), sales, negotiation, analytical and IT skills.
• Previous experience within an MGA business would be highly beneficial.
