Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Import Operator to join our friendly and proactive Client in Basildon, Essex to enhance their import sea freight logistics team and grow into the next level.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key Benefits on offer:

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday's 8:30am to 5:30pm, NO weekends

Full time, Permanent position

Your responsibilities include:

You will be responsible for overseeing the night shift warehouse performance and ensuring the smooth running of the operations.

  • Looking after Client LCL consols ex China to the UK.

  • Liaising with Client Overseas offices.

  • Liaising with internal accounts depts ensuring payments and client accounts are up to date prior to releasing.

  • Liaising with all local UK Suppliers:

    - Liaising with Customs Department to arrange customs clearances.

    - Liaising with our own and other 3rd party and general warehouses.

    - Liaising with local transport companies to organise final end deliveries and follow up with clients.

You will need:

  • Confident and outgoing individual.
  • FCL & LCL knowledge is desirable.
  • Import customs entry Experience.
  • Sound knowledge using Microsoft office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Bill of Lading Experience.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of Destin8 system.
  • Experience using GoogleDocs.
  • Customer/Client services experience.
  • Confidence with the ability to take responsibility and make decisions in a pressurised environment.
  • Reliable individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, respond positively to changing demands, embrace and implement new ideas.
  • Experience with Amazon import clients would be advantageous.
  • UK Resident and the right to work in the UK.
