Inventory Specialist / Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator

Basildon, Essex

Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Salary: Upto£30,000 per annum DOE

I am working with an Industry leader who are searching for a Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator to join their growing team specifically with inventory or stock control management experience recently.

Responsibilities:

Working within the Transport & Warehouse team you will be responsible for processing orders, overseeing the order cycle and ensuring stock and materials are processed correctly

  • Coordinate the logistics training
  • Monitor inventory by completing inventory counts
  • Document actions needed for each order
  • Processing orders - admin duties / cross check paperwork
  • Arrange transportation to ensure deliveries arrive on time
  • Ensure the warehouse capacity is kept at optimal level
  • Manage activities throughout the entire cycle - this is a hands on position based within the Warehouse itself too
  • Complete reports on stock and transport
  • Streamlining the warehouse and transport process
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the order is processed correctly
  • Keeping up to date with prices of raw materials
  • Work alongside the Operations Manager when working towards common operational activities
  • Maintaining archived data physically and or digitally
  • Reporting of quality issues to the Senior Management Team, bringing to their attention any problems or discrepancies, deviations from procedure or other quality incidents
  • Ensure purchases/arrivals are cleared through on the day of arrival
  • Run daily reports ensuring all stock is current to its actual location, Investigate and liaise with persons in affected areas to correct imbalances
  • Management of Annual (or any declared) Stock Check procedures and teams, liaising with company external auditors where required
  • Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) & Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is always followed (Training will be provided)

Experience:

  • Previously worked within a similar Warehouse / Inventory coordinator role
  • Must have recent experience managing inventory and stock control management background
