Warehouse Supervisor- Annual Salary: £27,000
- Location: Basildon
- Job Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm; some weekends during busy periods)
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Basildon facility. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing a dynamic team. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and safely, maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise daily warehouse operations and ensure workflows are efficient and effective.
- Manage and lead a small team of warehouse staff
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Handle any issues related to logistics, staff, or operations promptly.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance and progress for senior management.
- Occasionally oversee weekend operations during busy periods to ensure smooth running of activities.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar managerial role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to handle and oversee multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in implementing health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
