A logistics distribution and supply chain client of ours in the Basildon area are recruiting a Junior Operations Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying 24,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Booking and supervision of European shipments, groupage and express.
- Ensuring clients needs and expectations are met and if possible exceeded in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Booking and handling European Groupage and express consignments, invoicing for the department in a timely manner.
- Negotiating with suppliers for competitive prices.
- Daily management of the Road Freight daily profit spreadsheet.
- Liaise with accounts department with any sales/cost queries.
- Filing
- Liaising with our overseas / UK agents.
- Updating customer portals in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Junior Operations Administrator position:
- 1+ Year office experience
- Proficient with the Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication skills & confident talking to customers on the phone
- GCSE's in Maths & English graded 5 (C) and above
