The ideal candidate must possess the A1 Assessors Award and V1 Verifiers Award. This role involves teaching Level 2/3 general engineering students, ensuring high standards in marking and tracking learner progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in conventional machining techniques, including lathe and milling, as well as CNC techniques and maintenance principles.
Teach electronic systems and components, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
Prepare and deliver engaging lessons to Level 2/3 general engineering students.
Assess and mark student work accurately and in accordance with established standards.
Track and monitor learner progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in engineering machining and maintenance.
Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support students in their academic and professional development.
Qualifications:
A1 Assessors Award and V1 Verifiers Award (mandatory).
Proven experience in conventional machining techniques, including lathe and milling, CNC techniques, and maintenance principles.
Strong knowledge of electronic systems and components.
Experience teaching at Level 2/3 in general engineering.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education degree in Engineering or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar teaching role.
