They are looking to hire an individual with mechanical design experience gained in an industrial design role. The successful appointee will be producing designs / drawings for their systems and equipment, and will work in a small team of design engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Generating manufacturing drawings and equipment layouts
- Maintaining existing mechanical drawings and documentation when existing equipment is upgraded or modified
- Act as a liaison between the drawing office and Mechanical Technicians/sub-suppliers, and work with other departments
- Ensure all mechanical drawings are updated in a timely manner throughout the lifecycle of the project
Skills & Experience Required:
- Mechanical design experience in a working environment in an industrial design role
- Working knowledge of Autodesk, including AutoCAD (2D), Inventor (3D), Autodesk Vault (User only)
- Experience in drafting standards for BS 8888
- Good understanding of engineering techniques, including machining, sheet metal, fabrication
