- Practical experience in mechanical design within an industrial design environment
- Holds a recognized engineering certification or apprenticeship.
- Strong understanding of engineering manufacturing techniques
- Capable of interpreting assembly drawings and delivering high-quality results that meet customer expectations

- Generate manufacturing / engineering designs and equipment layouts, along with supporting mechanical documentation (schedules, bill of materials, sub-assembly drawings, schematics, etc.).
- Maintain existing mechanical drawings and documentation when equipment is upgraded or modified.
- Act as a liaison between the drawing office, mechanical technicians, and sub-suppliers.
- Work with other departments to ensure the correct parts are ordered and supplied for assembly
- Coordinate with the Drawing Office Manager to manage the workload and ensure that project deadlines are met, promptly notifying the project team of any changes.
- Regularly update mechanical drawings throughout the project, ensuring they are shared with all relevant departments and that the correct revisions are maintained in the data-management systemÂ
- Provide assistance with various tasks within the Drawing Office Department, such as creating enquiry drawings and conducting site surveys, when needed.
