The company:

Based in South Essex, you will be joining a purpose-built design and engineering premises for chemical manufacturing feeding into a wide range of industries. Due to continuous growth and expansion of the premises as well as a strong line of upcoming projects, the company is now seeking an experienced mechanical professional to join as an Equipment Technician.

The role of the Equipment Technician will be varied but will ultimately be involved in the manufacture/build processes for the wide range of companies' machinery.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assembly of frameworks and fitting to machinery
  • Pneumatic assembly
  • Preparation of materials, machining etc
  • Assembly, commissioning and support on customer sites.

This is just a summed-up list, and other responsibilities and tasks will be required.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and work to Engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience in mechanical assembly and machining
  • Ideally, a recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship training.
