For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Basildon who are looking to hire a Mechanical Inspector.

They are a well established engineering company that supply into a number of different sectors and they require an additional member of staff due to increased workload. 

This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machined parts and assemblies based on drawings and CAD data.
  • Complete final inspections and document product conformity.
  • Understand and apply quality assurance procedures.
  • Document any nonconforming products.
  • Ensure tools used for acceptance are calibrated.
  • Handle, identify, and trace materials correctly throughout manufacturing.
  • Perform Quality Control Inspector tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with PC-DMIS and/or Zeis Calypso software is a plus.
  • Experience in machining with aluminum alloys, steel, and titanium.
  • Proficiency in using basic inspection tools.
  • Ability to evaluate and verify results using fundamental principles.
