My client Is looking to appoint a Mechanical Technician Manager to manage the team ofmechanical technicians in the factory. The manager will be based in the factory and will beresponsible for leading the engineering team, assigning and monitoring tasks and customer visits, ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical equipment build processes, facilitating workflow and necessary recourses and driving efficiency and innovation in production. This role requires technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the team of mechanical technicians
  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and monitor team performance
  • Highlight training and ensure skill development
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Support the operations manager with timelines, and resources for engineering activities
  • Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Recognised Engineering certification/apprenticeship
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Training will be provided to familiarise the successful applicant with the specialist machinery and equipment we supply.
