Role Summary:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Pharmacy to join our Pharmacy, based in Basildon, Essex. The post holder will ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary, overseeing and meeting the organisation’s timeframes for medication dispatch, managing queries & complaints.

Role Duties:

  • Managing and ensuring the safe and effective running of the dispensary
  • Recruiting, hiring and training staff and conducting performance reviews
  • Complying with WDA responsibilities
  • Solving pharmacy service-related patient queries and complaints
  • Ensuring adherence to SOPs to medication handling, storage, dispensing and documentation

Qualification/Experience for Role:

  • Master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Valid GPhC registration
  • Extensive experience within relevant Pharmacy setting, ideally within a hospital
  • Experience within Pharmacy Dispensing environment desirable
  • Experience and knowledge with regards to WDA responsibilities and SOPs

A private clinic, with linked pharmacy, which specialises in assisting patients who may not have found satisfactory results for their conditions via their existing medications. We work with consultants specialising within pain, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care and cancer, so our patients can receive their prescribed medication directly to their door, via next-day delivery service. Our prescribed medicines are produced and manufactured according to the pharmaceutical-grade EU-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice.)
