Reed Talent Professionals are supporting a reputable Housing Association based in South Essex in the search for a Compliance Lead to manage and coordinate all determinations received by the Housing Ombudsman, ensuring compliance with all orders in a timely manner. This role involves direct liaison with the Housing Ombudsman, residents, and internal staff to meet deadlines and support adherence to the Housing Ombudsman Complaints Handling Code. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional service to both the Housing Ombudsman and our residents.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and coordinate responses to determinations from the Housing Ombudsman.
  • Ensure all orders are complied with on time and logged accurately on the chosen system.
  • Liaise directly with the Housing Ombudsman, residents, and internal staff to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Promote the complaints policy and procedure to all staff, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Identify potential reputation risks and collaborate with operational and communications teams to mitigate them.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in task-driven roles with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
  • Strong empathetic skills to build relationships with customers and staff, with a focus on customer experience.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure to tight timelines.
  • Demonstrable experience in complaint handling within a complaint’s environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good knowledge of housing practices and procedures.
  • Strong planning and organising skills to maintain priorities and meet deadlines.
