A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for aManual Turneron behalf of our client, a well established manufacturing company based in Basildon.
This role involves working with manual lathes to produce high-quality precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:Operate manual lathes to machine components to tight tolerances.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Cut, grind or drill materials as required
Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers.
Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
Work safely and efficiently, following all company and industry regulations.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and productivity.
Proven experience as aManual Turnerin a precision engineering environment.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining principles.
Proficiency in using manual lathes and measuring tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with a variety of materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass).
Knowledge of other manual machining processes (milling, grinding, etc.).
Apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification (preferred but not essential).
