3PL Product ManagerBasildon, Essex£40K - £50K per annum

Due to expansion my client is seeking an experienced 3PL Product Manager to join their team in their Basildon branch. You will be responsible for developing and streamlining the existing 3PL product, focusing on enhancing efficiency, compliance, and commercial opportunities. The role involves supporting Branch Managers and the I.T Department to integrate client systems, ensuring a seamless transition for new business, and providing exceptional customer service for existing business. You will:

  • Continuously improve service efficiency across all 3PL operations
  • Implement best practices and streamline processes to enhance operational performance
  • Identify and integrate industry trends to develop and innovate the 3PL product
  • Work on new commercial opportunities to expand the 3PL product offering
  • Ensure clients are highly satisfied with the level of service and solutions provided
  • Act as a key point of contact for client feedback and implement necessary improvements
  • Identify, follow up and oversee the smooth transition of new business, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to the team on 3PL service offering
  • Review, Mentor, motivate, and engage the 3PL team to achieve high performance
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members
  • Work closely with the IT Department to integrate client systems seamlessly
  • Liaise with the Branch Managers and other senior management to align business goals
  • Provide practical support in client preparations for solution development
  • Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective plans
  • Manage relationships with current 3PL agents and ensure they meet company standards worldwide
  • Manage Profit and Loss
  • Manage the financial performance of the 3PL product, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years logistics experience together with a broad understanding of 3PL Logistics trends, procedures and practices
  • Have team management experience
  • Have good commercial experience and awareness
  • Have excellent organisational skills and capable of working at a fast pace
  • Be highly process-driven with a methodical approach to tasks and problem-solving
  • Have the ability to adopt and manage change effectively, demonstrating flexibility in dynamic environments
  • Have a strong personality to deal with changes and challenges confidently, maintaining resilience and composure
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Have a professional and focused approach with a high level to attention and detail
  • Be customer focused with desire to always strive for excellence
  • Have a positive 'can do’ attitude and highly ambitious approach
  • Have exceptional Communication skills
