Quality Inspector - NightsLocation: Basildon£36,159 + shift premium

We are looking for Quality Inspector, to work with an established aerospace manufacturer in Basildon. As the Quality Inspector you support all things quality within the manufacturing process, including non-conformance, first article inspection and compliance . Right First-Time philosophy.

Shifts Pattern: Monday-Thursday 7.30pm - 4.30am, Friday - 2.30pm- 7.30pm

Day to Day Duties of the Quality Inspector

  • Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages
  • Perform First article inspection and non-conformance procedures
  • Support and promote continuous improvement activities
  • Complete First offs and batch work
  • Working to ISO9001 standards
  • Use of verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges and DTI (Digital Test Indicators)
  • Work within cross functional teams to support the business

Skills & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will come from the quality control / inspection or engineering sector.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision with excellent attention to detail
  • Must have practical problem-solving skills
  • Any experience in the aerospace sector or working to ISO9001 standards would be ideal, but not essential
  • Any CMM knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
