Pure Resourcing Solutions is looking for a Senior Buyer for a privately owned manufacturing company in Basildon.
The role requires the candidate to have proven experience as a Senior Buyer, ideally with a background in manufacturing and sourcing from the Far East.
The successful candidate will oversee supply chain functions, mentor a team of two buyers, and collaborate with the leadership team on strategic decisions.
This full-time, permanent position requires office presence and offers a competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per year.
CIPS qualification or being in the process of obtaining it is also required for this role.

Pure Resourcing Solutions are exclusively supporting a privately owned manufacturing company based in Basildon, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join the team.The successful candidate will play a key role within the senior leadership team and work closely with the board to support strategic and operational decision making. This is a full time, permanent role which requires office working full time. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the supply chain and procurement functions within the company.
Mentoring a team of 2 buyers.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of materials.
Source materials and products from the Far East and other global suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply chain issues.

Requirements:

CIPS Qualified / studying.
Proven experience as a Senior Buyer
Background in manufacturing is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing from the Far East.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
