Position: Import/Export European Road Freight Trainee (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

When: Immediate start 

Type: Full-time, 6-Month FTC (Maternity Cover - possibility of extension)

Our client, a renowned leader in European road freight, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their dynamic team as a trainee. This 6-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave, offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and globally connected field. Key Responsibilities:

      Creating and processing groupage shipments on your assigned services.

Assisting your Supervisor/Manager and colleagues by:

Creating bookings.

Providing customer assistance.

Invoicing and undertaking general daily duties related to the department.

Ensuring client needs and expectations are met-and where possible, exceeded-in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Collaborating with colleagues to assist in the development of the department and the company as a whole.

Supporting the Customs Clearance Team (CCT) in customs clearance of exports and imports.

Working with Management and Directors to maximise the profitability of the department and the company as a whole.

Requirements:

      Minimum of

1 year of office experience

    (essential).

Experience in transport/logistics is beneficial but not essential - a willingness to learn is key!

Excellent telephone manner and strong customer service skills.

Confident in speaking to international clients and building strong relationships.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency with basic computer software (e.g., MS Office).
