EU Road Freight Administrator

Location: Basildon, SS14

? Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Salary: Up to £24,000 (NMW - Age Dependent)

Are you looking to kick-start your career in logistics and road freight administration? Our client, a leading European transport company, is seeking a motivated EU Road Freight Administrator to join their dynamic team in Basildon.

About the Role:

As EU Road Freight Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support to the operations team, ensuring seamless communication with customers and partners across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the fast-paced world of international logistics.

EU Road Freight Administrator duties include:

  • Creating and processing of Groupage shipments on your assigned services.
  • Creating bookings, providing customer assistance, invoicing and undertaking general daily duties relating to the associated department.
  • Ensuring client's needs and expectations are met and where possible exceeded in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assisting with customs clearance of exports and imports.
  • Creating jobs and manifests in Navitas.
  • Obtaining and preparing of documents for the Customs team to process.
  • Liaising with our overseas agents.
  • Providing excellent Customer Service, using emails and phones as appropriate.
  • Together with your colleagues, assisting with the development of the department and the Company as a whole.

Key Requirements:

? Minimum 1 year of office experience

? Strong telephone manner and customer service skills

? GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/5 or above)

? Confidence in communicating with non-native English speakers

? Exceptional attention to detail - accuracy is essential

Desirable: Due to office location and limited public transport, having access to a vehicle is highly preferred.
