An Operations Clerk position is available at an expanding freight company in the Basildon area.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean and road freight, including import and export.
Daily responsibilities include handling shipments, booking freight, and liaising with clients and carriers.
Strong PC skills and excellent verbal and written communication are essential for this role.
The salary for this position is competitive, and the working hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:30.

I'm recruiting for an Operations Clerk to join an expanding freight company based in the Basildon area. You must have Ocean and road freight experience.

Daily duties will include:

Handling ocean and road freight shipments
Booking freight with approved carriers / lines
Developing and building relationships with clients
Discharging t1 shipments
LCL/ FCL shipments
Handling queries
Ensuring pre alert documents are on hand prior to vessel arrival
Updating customers on shipments
Arranging collection and delivery
Liaising with customers and overseas agents & hauliers

Experience needed:

Experience within ocean and road freight
Import and export experience
Customs entries experience
Strong PC skills
Minimum 2 years experience working for a freight forwarding company
Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Working hours:

Monday - Friday 0900 - 17:30
