Control Systems Engineer – The Role:

  • Design PLC based electrical control systems from design specifications

  • Program PLC, HMI & safety configurable relay systems

  • Configure remote I/O, servo motor and inverter drives

  • Integrating ancillary equipment into the production lines such as vision systems

  • Fault finding electrical control systems, PLC and hardware systems

  • Commissioning, support and service at customer sites

Control Systems Engineer – The Person:

  • Ideally HND/HNC qualified within a relevant Electrical discipline

  • A firm grounding in control systems and PLC based control is essential.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron PLC’s ideal

  • Understanding of vision & SCADA systems

  • Experience of the pharmaceutical industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations desirable

The Control Engineers will work with clients across the globe therefore an element of international travel is part of the role. This is roughly 20%, 1-2 weeks away at one time. This role also involves working with the Electricians & Panel Builders to design and build the controls system, and then program/commission the machines within the factory and out on site.

You will be joining a company experiencing a large number of orders on-going for the long-term future. This is an excellent time to be a part of a close-knit team offering support focused progression.

Based in the South East, these roles are commutable from Chelmsford, Harlow, Southend, Colchester & surrounding areas.
