Control Systems Engineer – The Role:

Design PLC based electrical control systems from design specifications
-
Program PLC, HMI & safety configurable relay systems
-
Configure remote I/O, servo motor and inverter drives
-
Integrating ancillary equipment into the production lines such as vision systems
-
Fault finding electrical control systems, PLC and hardware systems
-
Commissioning, support and service at customer sites
Control Systems Engineer – The Person:
-
Ideally HND/HNC qualified within a relevant Electrical discipline
-
A firm grounding in control systems and PLC based control is essential.

Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron PLC’s ideal
-
Understanding of vision & SCADA systems
-
Experience of the pharmaceutical industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations desirable
The Control Engineers will work with clients across the globe therefore an element of international travel is part of the role. This is roughly 20%, 1-2 weeks away at one time. This role also involves working with the Electricians & Panel Builders to design and build the controls system, and then program/commission the machines within the factory and out on site.
