Sales Ledger Assistant

Join a leading transport company as a Sales Ledger Assistant within their Finance Team. They are looking for a detail-oriented individual to help manage the sales ledger.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce sales invoices and credit notes via internal software
- Build knowledge of customer invoicing requirements
- Liaise with Transport Managers and Supervisors for accurate data entry
- Meet weekly/monthly invoicing deadlines and maintain real-time invoicing tracker
- Handle customer queries and ensure timely resolution
- Reconcile month-end sales ledger and produce customer statements
- Support with financial reporting and month-end tasks
- Process cashbook transactions and assist in internal audits
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in an accounts office or sales ledger role
- Strong MS Excel and IT skills; experience with bespoke systems a plus
- Proactive with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and knowledge of accounting principles
