Maths Teacher - PRU Setting
Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for mathematics? Remedy Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit in the vibrant community of Basildon. This school is looking for a Maths teacher to join their team full-time.
Responsibilities for a Maths Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in mathematics to students with a range of needs and abilities within the PRU setting.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies tailored to meet the diverse needs of students in a PRU.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere within the mathematics department.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to promote continuous improvement in their understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices in the field of mathematics, particularly in PRU environments.
Requirements for a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (ECTs also welcome).
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics, with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Proven experience delivering successful and engaging mathematics lessons, preferably in a PRU or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential, even in challenging circumstances.
