Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting student learning?We are currently seeking a dedicated Subject Specialist Cover Supervisor to join a reputable school in Basildon. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with subject knowledge who is looking to make a positive impact on students in the absence of their usual class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students stay on track with their work
  • Provide support to students in completing set tasks and activities
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, focused learning environment
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher to ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered
  • Work closely with the school leadership team to ensure smooth delivery of education
  • Encourage student engagement and provide assistance where necessary

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong subject knowledge in maths, English, Science, French and PE
  • Experience working with students, ideally within a classroom setting

  • A proactive and positive attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed
  • A relevant qualification in education or a subject-specific field (preferred but not essential)
