About the Role:We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Subject Specialist Cover Supervisor to join one of our clients in Basildon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to support the delivery of lessons in their specialist subject area while maintaining a high standard of learning and student engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of either Maths, English, Science, French or PE and be able to manage a classroom effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and materials for your specialist subject area.
- Provide support and guidance to students during lessons, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure students adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to staff and students as needed.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Key Requirements:
- A strong background and knowledge in Maths, English, Science, French or PE.
- Experience working in an educational setting, ideally in a cover supervisor or teaching assistant role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse range of student behaviors and ensure effective classroom management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Degree in either Maths, English, Science, French or PE.
