We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Basildon. As a Construction Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the Construction curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5. We believe in providing a curriculum that not only equips students with the skills necessary for the construction industry but also prepares them for the world they live in by fostering creativity, innovation, and practical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Construction Teacher you will teach Construction at KS3, KS4, and KS5, helping students develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in areas such as Construction Technology, Construction in Practice, and Construction and Design
  • Encourage students to explore how materials are sourced, products and systems are designed, and how construction can positively impact the environment and the world around them
  • Inspire creativity and imagination in students, allowing them to engage with real-world challenges through innovative and resourceful thinking
  • Use traditional and digital technologies to give students hands-on experience in Construction, while integrating other subjects such as mathematics, science, engineering, and geography into lessons
