An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dynamic Teacher of PE to join our secondary school in Basildon. This is a part time position for maternity cover. Our school is committed to promoting health and fitness, both for our students and the wider community. In line with our extended school policies, we operate a public-use community sports centre on-site, providing a range of activities and facilities to encourage participation in sports across all age groups.

As a Teacher of PE, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality physical education programme that promotes health, teamwork, and individual skill development. You will have the chance to inspire students and encourage them to develop a lifelong commitment to physical activity.

• Teach Physical Education across all key stages, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum
• Encourage student participation in sports, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to excel in physical activity
• Support the school's community sports centre by promoting fitness and sport, fostering a love of exercise within both the school and wider Basildon community
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, including sports teams and competitions, ensuring students have opportunities to be involved outside of the classroom
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the school's high standards in Physical Education

• The school's community sports centre is a key part of our extended school offering, providing Basildon with football, basketball, badminton, fitness, swim school, and children's clubs
