Ocean freight Pricing and sales administrator required for a freight forwarder in the Basildon area, upto 26k, this role will be based within ocean freight and supporting the freight forwarders and sales team. This is a great opportunity to learn more within ocean freight
the role:
as a ocean freight pricing and sales coordinator, your duties will include:
- Working with current clients keeping them updated with monthly rates / quoting one off rate requests from them / phone for follow ups
- Keeping a close relationship with the client to retain business
- Setting up bookings/liaising with our agents/hauliers / shipping lines to negotiate the best rates
- Working with sales team to support their clients
- Data input and maintenance of rates into the system.
This role will be varied and include a wide range of duties within ocean freight
Experience
The client is looking for a candidate with ocean freight knowledge, this is really important. You will also be good at maths to do pricing quotes, be good on the phone and able to be organised.
