Academics are working with a wonderful primary school in Basildon, who are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them in October, on a long term contract. This contract could turn permanent for the right candidate.

This is a warm, friendly and diverse school looking for a motivated and dedicated teaching assistant to join their team. The students in this school are extremely friendly and love to learn. There is a very supportive team working here and they are always on hand to help.

About the Teaching Assistant Role

  • Provide support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
  • Work with groups of children to carry out valuable Phonics interventions.
  • Assist with students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech and Language issues.
  • Use your creativity and imagination to excite the pupils.
  • Communicate with teachers and parents.

The ideal Teaching Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for children to flourish within.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and confident to use your innovation to create fun and exciting activities!
  • SEN experience
