Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant/Sports Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting classroom teachers and promoting physical education within schools. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, supporting students’ learning, and encouraging their participation in sports and physical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and preparing engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Encourage and motivate students to participate actively in sports and physical education.
- Organize and lead sports activities, games, and events to promote teamwork and physical fitness.
- Foster positive relationships with students, helping them to build confidence and develop their skills.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or sports setting is highly desirable.
- A passion for education and a strong commitment to supporting students’ development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant qualifications in education, sports coaching, or a related field (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ, or equivalent).
- A current First Aid certificate and safeguarding training are advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
